Key Finders™ Services

Registration

A Key Finders™ membership starts with registration in our database. We register your contact information and provide you with two durable Lexan™ key tags etched with a serial number that is specific to your account. The key tags, which are placed on your key ring, also include the Key Finders™ toll free number and the word "REWARD" to insure your lost keys are reported to us as soon as they are found.

Reporting

The most important service Key Finders™ provides is a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year customer service line for reporting lost keys. The person who finds your lost keys can report this to our Customer Service line any time of the day or night, and speak with a real person. In turn, Key Finders™ will contact the member immediately to report that their keys have been found. The average time for this process is 10 minutes or less. In most cases, you won't even know your keys are lost. When you do find out they were lost, in most cases, you will be less than 200 yards from the finder. There will be no need to call AAA and wait for 2 hours for a locksmith, plus a possible cost of over $100.00 and a locksmith can't make a KEY that will start most newer cars.

(Our testing found that most set of keys lost in a mall were picked up in less than 90 seconds---in a parking lot, in under 10 minutes,----Hotels, Restaurants and Bars, the keys were picked-up in under 4 minutes----Airports, in less than 5 minutes. The average reporting time after being found was under 20 minutes.)

Retrieving Your Found Keys

Key Finders™ assists members with the retrieval of their keys. When keys are reported found, Key Finders™ contacts the member immediately to advise them of the safest and quickest way to retrieve them. If it is not possible for the member to personally pick up their keys, Key Finders™ will arrange for Federal Express to pick up the keys from the finder and deliver them to the member. In other cases, a Key Finders™ Employee will hand deliver the keys directly to the owner.

Reward

Key Finders™ assists members with immediately compensating the person who finds their keys. If a Key Finders™ member is not able to personally pay the $50 cash reward at the time the keys are retrieved, Key Finders™ offers the convenience of paying the reward for the member and billing them at a later date.

Replacement

If a member's keys are lost and not reported found within 48 hours, Key Finders™ assists with the replacement of those keys. We will pay up to $100 towards the replacement of the lost keys, car, office or home. New Key Tags will be issued at the same time at no cost. You will also be advised of the closest authorized agent that will provide you with a discount for your key replacement.

Member Bonus

Key Finders™ will provide two (2) or more durable, waterproof decals to place on your Cell Phone, Blackberry, PDA or other hand-held devices. These highly-visible decals are imprinted with the Key Finders™ web site address and toll free phone number, and offers a reward for the return of the item when it is found. The reporting, retrieval and reward system works the same as for lost keys. The only difference is with the PHONE and PDA we are able to complete the lost and found system with out a serial number.
